B. Ed Distance Education
Diploma in Engineering (Polytechnic) is 2 years (Lateral Entry)/ 3 years engineering diploma program designed to impart technical education. This program provides, 10th pass candidates, an opportunity to start a job, in engineering field, right after completing the course. Candidates who have completed 12th (PCM) or ITI (2 Years) after 10th can be admitted to 2nd year of Diploma in Engineering program. Students who are not able to secure admission inB. Tech, can take admission to Diploma in Engineering. After completing, Diploma in engineering, they can be directly admitted to 2nd year of B. Tech. Distance Diploma in Engineering (Polytechnic) is designed to impart technical knowledge of a specific engineering field, opted by students. This program offers many branches of specialization such as civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automobile engineering, etc. Aspirants can opt any branch of their interest. There are many aspirants who want to pursue this program. However, they cannot afford to join regular college because of unavoidable reasons such as financial constraints, job commitments & family responsibilities. Diploma in Engineering through Distance education can help such aspirants to continue their education.

Is B. Ed through distance education valid?
B.Ed degree can be offered in Regular as well as Distance mode. B. Ed degree pursued from UGC-AIU-NCTE-DEB approved universities are absolutely valid.

Duration of B. Ed distance education One Year or Two Years?
The B. Ed course was of one year till the academic year 2014-15. NCTE, with an objective to ensure quality teachers’ training, extended the duration of the program from 1 Year to 2 Years in year 2014. As of now, B. Ed is a 2 years course, declared by NCTE in its notification issued in 2014.
